Kathleen Booth was the creater of the first assembly language. She was born in Stourbridge, England in 1922. She got her PhD at The Unviversity of London in 1950. At birkbeck college she joined a group that helped developed Automatic relay computer, the simple electronic computer, and the All-Purpose Electronic (Rayon) computer. After this she went with her husband and developed the assembely language. This was by far her standalone biggest accomplishment is her assembely language because it connected hardware and software in a efficent way. This overall increased the speed of computers and the speed others could code.
